1. What Commitment Is

Commitment is a goal-based savings tool that helps you lock away money until a date you choose. It is not a bank, investment platform, or licensed deposit-taking institution. All funds are processed through licensed payment gateway partners (Paynow) and mobile money providers (EcoCash, InnBucks).

2. How Vaults Work

When you create a vault, you set an unlock date. You may deposit funds into the vault at any time. Once deposited, your funds are strictly locked until the unlock date. There is no early withdrawal, no emergency break, and no exceptions. This is the core commitment — your money is inaccessible until the date you chose.

You may extend a vault's lock date to a later date at any time, but you cannot shorten it.

3. Withdrawal Fee

A flat 5% platform fee is deducted from every withdrawal. For example, if you withdraw $100, you receive $95 and $5 is retained as the platform fee. This fee covers operational costs including server infrastructure, SMS verification, and payment processing.

Mobile money transfer fees charged by your provider (EcoCash, InnBucks) are separate and are borne by the user.

4. Payout Delivery

Once your vault is unlocked and you request a withdrawal, your payout is processed to your registered mobile money wallet. Payouts are delivered within 24 hours of the request being approved. You will receive a notification in the app once your payout has been sent.

5. Deposits

Deposits are made via Paynow using EcoCash, InnBucks, or other supported mobile money methods. There is no fee charged by Commitment for deposits. Any fees from your mobile money provider are your responsibility.

6. Account Security

Your account is protected by OTP verification and a personal PIN. You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential. Commitment will never ask for your PIN via phone, SMS, or email.

7. Support

You can reach our support team directly through the in-app Messages feature. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.

8. Limitation of Liability

Commitment facilitates savings through third-party payment providers. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by mobile money networks, payment gateway outages, or telecommunications disruptions beyond our control.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
